Our True Local mobile application is now available for your Android smartphone! Our app allows you to find local products in our inventory and save money at the same time! It’s a great way to help support our local economy.
Once you download (either to your Android or iPhone), you’ll automatically be entered to win one of five gift cards from us! (1st place, $250; 2nd place, $100; 3rd, 4th & 5th place $50). If you go a step further into the app, click on “Go to Today’s Deals” and enter your information, you’ll be entered again! So start downloading (only two entries per person allowed)! If you have already downloaded our app, you’re automatically entered. This contest ends October 1, 2011.

| We are proud to introduce another local product in our inventory and a new member of our management team!
New in our meat case this week is an array of locally grown, organic meats from Black Earth Meats in Black Earth, WI! A small town, old-fashioned meat locker, Black Earth Meats purchases all of their animals from farmers who only practice sustainable, organic farming methods. All of their beef are grass fed – NEVER grain fed thus assuring the highest quality, organic meat possible. Black Earth Meats processes these animals with the strong belief that the death of the animals give us life. Because of this, they process each animal with the utmost care and compassion. They are not computer automated like larger processing plants. Each animal is handled one at a time, and Black Earth Meats’ butchers are trained through every process. And just in time for Ramadan, they have supplied us with Hallal Beef. This beef has been blessed and processed according to Islamic custom. Because this is a small shop, the costs they pass on are not inflated. You can be assured that we will pass these savings onto you. Stop in and get some of this superior tasting, tender meat and then let us know what you think! |
Exciting New Products Just Added to our Inventory!

We have added some awesome new products to our inventory this past week. In our frozen department, check out Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. Made from all natural ingredients, you are sure to find a taste that suits you. It comes in a cute package too! We are only one of two retail outlets in Madison where you can get this great tasting ice cream! Check out their story here!
If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to ice cream, you have to check out Arctic Zero. These products are less than 150 calories per pint and are all natural, gluten free, fat free, and are touted as a protein shake in an ice cream form! We carry seven flavors. We are only grocery store in Madison to carry Arctic Zero!
In the dairy section, look for Yoplait Lite Yogurts with granola. It’s a great grab-n-go snack and is the only yogurt loaded with essential Vitamin D.
In our meat department, we now carry Smart Chicken Organic Sausages. Smart Chicken products are all organic and carry the highest organic certification possible. Try it out today!

Now offering FRESH SQUEEZED JUICE!

We are excited to announce that we now serve fresh squeezed juice! We will be squeezing orange, lemon and lime juice everyday from our new machine set up next to the organic produce. This machine from Zumex in Spain, takes whole citrus fruit, slices them in half, and squeezes out their natural goodness straight into a bottle! We are proud to say that we are one of the few retail chains in Wisconsin using this machine.
We will have fresh squeezed juice available in 32, 16 and 8 oz bottles set up in an ice bar in our produce department. This will be restocked by demand so you know you are getting the freshest juice possible.
We are hoping to expand our selection to offer you even more fresh citrus juices. Our machine is capable of squeezing fruits without a pit. In the future, look for new selections like grapefruit, pomegranate and more!

We’re excited to announce that we now carry homemade scones from Mary’s Coffee Express in Mount Horeb! Usually sold out in her store, these scones are made from scratch using all natural, premium ingredients. You can find them in our bakery. Let us know how you like them!
We are also carrying marmalades, jams, chutneys and spreads from Lu Austin Preserves. Based out of Elkhorn, WI, these products are made with simple ingredients and shipped fresh. Their most popular preserves are those made with jalapenos and blended with sweet berries. These jams carry just enough kick to harness in the sweetness. Try some of their marmalades on Mary’s homemade scones!
Stay in the a/c this week and let us do your shopping! Now through Sunday, we’ll waive our $4.95 shopping fee on all orders placed online!
