New Grocery Store Proposal for East Wash. in Madison

February 18, 2013

We are proud to announce our desire to open a new grocery store on the 800 block of East Washington Avenue as part of a mixed-use development. We are partnering with C.D. Smith Construction, Inc., Mandel Group and Enberg Anderson, Inc. to build a two-story, 30,000 square-foot, full-service grocery store.  Our hope is to continue doing what we do best – provide healthy and fresh options to our customers. We believe this new store would help in the revitalization efforts for the Capitol East Neighborhood.

New Proposed store on E. Wash. Our proposal includes a 30,000 square foot, full-ervice grocery store

The project will create more than 100 new jobs in the area, with 20 of those jobs set as full-time employment positions complete with a great benefits package. The majority of the store’s deli products, for example, will be made from scratch with oversight from an executive chef. The store will offer a significant variety of organic, natural, gluten-free, and locally sourced products. An event/ community room will be located within the store and made available for use by businesses, community groups, non-profit organizations and store neighbors.
