Peanut Butter Stuffed Apples Recipe

The delicious combination of a healthy snack and a yummy dessert, these stuffed apples will make you never want to eat an apple plain ever again. Being bored and having nothing to do if the perfect excuse to bake yourself a real treat. These oven baked apples are topped off with Reese’s Pieces to create the most perfect easy to make snack the whole family will enjoy!

 

INGREDIENTS

3 apples, halved (Honeycrisp Apples are $1.49 per lb. this week)

2 tbsp. butter, melted

1 c. creamy peanut butter (Free 28 oz. jar with a $15 purchase this week)

1/4 c. chopped Reese's Pieces

2/3 c. semisweet chocolate chips, melted (3 for $8 Nestle Baking Chips this week)

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375°. Using a melon baller, core the apples. Place apples in a shallow baking dish and brush with melted butter. Bake in oven for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove apples from oven and add a large scoop of peanut butter to the well in each apple. Bake for another 15 minutes. Garnish with Reese’s Pieces and a drizzle of melted chocolate. Serve.
