Simple Breakfast Kick-Start Smoothie

June 24, 2018

Fixing a smoothie is a fast and healthy way to start the day.  But just like eating veggies, some shy away from the prep-work and just grab a donut instead.  Here’s a super smoothie that will get your day going with protein and lots of potassium.

This Peanut Butter Banana Breakfast Smoothie was introduced by Genius Kitchen, and you can get it done quicker than waiting in the drive-thru for a donut.

It takes just 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks, a teaspoon of peanut butter, a few ice cubes, and ½ cup of cold skim or soymilk.  Puree the banana for about 30 seconds.  Add the peanut butter and mix it with the banana, then the ice cubes until crushed and finally, add the milk and mix it up until it’s smooth.

Pour that in a glass and drink it, then you are on your way to a healthy day.  Easy!
